Great purchase!

"I got my backpack in August and I have been using it for almost three weeks! It’s incredible! It fits a lot more than it initially looks like it would. As a student, I often have to pack textbooks, lunches, water bottle, coffee, computer, chargers, etc. I never have trouble getting all my stuff in the bag."

Great classic

"Slim and tall profile which is good, but may have some issues with accessing your stuff since it’s top loading. Love that it has side water bottle pockets and a quick stash pocket up top. Front bottom pocket is a little tight, so can’t really put bulky items. 4 Compression straps may be overkill for an already slim bag, but you can use it to secure things on with carabiners from the side pockets or to pack your bag flat for travel."

Janice A. (4/5)

Love it

"I love the consistent brown color with just a touch of of other colors. It has a perfect space for my laptop and a couple of pockets for small items. The water bottle holders are a bit small. My water bottle doesn’t fit in the them. It is smaller than I expected, which is good for me because it keeps me organized. Really comfortable."

Jennifer G. (5/5)

Perfect day pack

"Recently took this pack on a two week trip to Finland and Iceland. It was perfect for international travel. All airport documents at your fingertips with the onside pockets. I couldn’t have been better organized. Inside pouch big enough for a good book, snacks and knitting! There is nothing I would change. It was the perfect size."

Elisabeth K. (5/5)

Great overall with a few downsides

"Pros: Nice material and zippers, everything in the bag feels secure and safe, aesthetically pleasing Cons: Not many separated pockets, the straps can be loud when flapping around as I’m walking, water bottle holder is secure but somewhat difficult to put the bottle into"

Inaccurate Topo gear guide

"The Topo gear guide says this bag has a pass-through sleeve for luggage. I received my bag and it does not have a pass-through sleeve"

Daphne K. (1/5)

Perfect work bag!

"I was wanting a pack for work instead of the 30 year old shoulder pack I have grown to love. This perfectly fit for what I needed. Lightweight, many compartments and looks great!"

John N. (5/5)

Quality Exceeded expectation

"This is a high quality bag. The material and craftsmanship exceeded my expectation. I love the top pocket, it is so convenient. I use this bag as a day bag with a generic camera cube in the main pocket and stuff i don't want to keep in my pockets stored in the top pocket for easy access. Works flawlessly. When i carry my tripod i store it in the bottle pocket no problem."

Nate (5/5)

Tight on space with zero tolerances for expansion

"I bought the matching pack to one of my carry-on bags because I thought the clip on system for attaching these bags together would make things easier. It didn’t, but that’s a whole other topic. I’ll focus on this pack here. It’s a decent enough back pack, and the build quality seems mostly good. I haven’t put it thru its paces in that regard because this bag simply does not work for me. The front and side pockets have zero give for outward expansion, so anything you put in these pockets take away from space inside the main compartment. So if you’re carrying a 16-inch laptop in the sleeve compartment, a charger in the front and a water bottle or two on either side, you now have such little space inside the main pouch. With something in either side pocket I have found that it will fight my laptop for space. I have relegated this bag for very specific use cases, where I don’t need my laptop, or to carry a very small amount around town. I recently took it to Burning Man, for which it was mostly did the job. Now that it is dusted and busted that is probably the only place I’ll use it going forward."

TD's Signature Pack for a Reason

"You will see this pack being worn by people in inner cities and national parks. Double sets of compression straps, two different weights of outer fabrics (lighter on top/heavier on bottom), all sorts of colors, full linings, and secure drawstring closures = perhaps the optimum in a small day pack. You can stuff gear for the office, rainwear, and a laptop into the Rover. It continues to be the industry standard in top loaders."
