Mountain Cross Bag

Nice bag, works great for me

"I recently took the bag on an overnight trip to Washington DC. The bag fits nicely under the seat in front of me and yet doesn’t take up all the room so I still have room for my feet. But back to the bag itself, it held exactly what I need. The laptop compartment was fine. The trolley passed through worked well with my rolling bag. There were adequate pockets, but not so many that you couldn’t remember where you put stuff. I especially like the bright yellow interior lining so you could find the things you put in the one thing I didn’t care for is the large contrast and color zipper poles I think it makes the bag look tacky or something anyway, I can easily replace those with smaller black pools and I think that will improve the look at least in my opinion."

GREAT Little Bag!

"I’m a retired teacher and occasionally sub. I used to carry a big ol’ backpack but I would overload it and it was heavy! I wanted something small, stylish but able to carry what I needed to sub and the Mountain Cross Bag fit the bill. I just love it!"

Works Well for the Purpose

"I was attracted to this product by both the size and the assortment of possible colors. I thought the volume might be a bit small for my needs, but it has been fine. I appreciate the small internal zipper pouch with key clip, just the right size. I was not immediately fond of the multiple zipper setup. There are four double pull zippers across the top, so if all the zipper pulls are located on one side that means 8 individual paracord strands, and all of the same color. It looks like a fringed coat. But I got around it by replacing the paracord on two zippers with something else. Okay, now it’s organized. Looks well made, I like my color choice, and it looks like my old Timbuktu Tu bag is now history."

Hyperorganized, can take anything!

"I am someone who usually uses backpacks. While I like the ease of carry of a backpack it’s cumbersome to actually access my quick use items like my ID, keys or notebooks. The mountain bag can take everything my backpack does but is so well organized that I can find what I need super easily. It’s also the only bag with two waterbottle pockets so I can take my waterbottle and my coffee thermos to work. It’s just incredible. Buy it!"

Topo Designs Did It Again

"I’ll admit it—I’m a bag guy, and I probably own more bags than I actually need. But the Mountain Cross Bag has quickly become one of my favorites. What really sold me is the organization. There’s plenty of room for my everyday essentials without the bag feeling oversized or bulky, and the different compartments make it easy to keep everything organized instead of digging around for what I need. The design is classic Topo: rugged, clean, functional, and just different enough to stand out. It works equally well as an everyday carry, work bag, or travel bag, which is exactly what I was looking for. The build quality feels excellent, and it’s one of those bags that looks even better in person. If you’re someone who appreciates a well-designed bag with plenty of organization but doesn’t want to carry a huge backpack or briefcase everywhere, this one hits the sweet spot. Another Topo bag I definitely didn’t need… but I’m very glad I bought."

Great travel bag

"This bag is nicely designed for travel. It holds a lot yet isn't big or bulky. Its multiple compartments and pockets kept me organized going through security and check-in, and its size and set-up made it easy to manage in flight. No wrestling with the pass-through panel, also appreciated. Skinny water bottles fit fine in the side pockets. Straps and handles were also seamlessly functional. Plus, it's cheerful to have some color (grid very peri) for me. I was eyeing other bags and they were all so somber and serious. Not mine!"

Perfect Size and Weight

"The size, functionality, and features of this bag are fantastic. This is is my second purchase of this bag. I also have a black one for "business", and got this Woodland Terracotta colorway to use as a camera bag, with an insert. The number of pockets and zipped areas make it easy to separate my camera gear from my wallet, phone and other things I carry around. I also fit a 13" Mac Air in the back. NOTE: the straps on the bottom don't hang down when you cross them like an X across the bottom and attach them to the clips that way - in case you are someone who doesn't like straps hanging off your bags. The shoulder strap is comfortable, and the back is smooth, which makes it so that it doesn't catch on my clothes as other messenger style bags have in the past. Definitely recommended!"

"Extremely poor packaging. The bag was shipped in a thin plastic mailer with only anoyher thin layer of plastic to protect it. The bag arrived with scuffs to the plastic straps. Dont buy directly from this store if you want your item undamaged."
