It's yellow inside!
"I bought this bag for a trip and am so in love with it. Feels like a friend keeping all my myriad stuffs organized! It feels high quality and I'm excited to use it for years to come. And I had asked on one of Topo's social media posts about what color the interior was, as there were no pictures of it in black, and didn't get an answer but I'm glad to say it is a neon yellow/green, which makes finding stuff a breeze! This is my first Topo purchase, but hopefully not my last."

Infuriating laptop sleeve
"The slight taper at the bottom of the laptop sleeve is the reason nobody can agree on whether this bag will fit a 13" or a 14" laptop. The laptop shown is a Lenovo T14 gen 4. It's a relatively slim 14" laptop, but it's not Apple level slim. Recent 14" Macbook Pros (M4, M5) do manage to (barely) fit. Older 13" Macbook Pros will also fit (again, just barely). Every single 14" laptop that gets through the top but doesn't quite get past the zipper is running into the slight taper at the bottom of the bag. Topo, WHY? There's no reason to have a taper here -- every laptop is a rectangle. Other than this dealbreaker of a flaw, the bag is nearly perfect. Topo, please fix this. Square off the bottom."

Nice bag, works great for me
"I recently took the bag on an overnight trip to Washington DC. The bag fits nicely under the seat in front of me and yet doesn’t take up all the room so I still have room for my feet. But back to the bag itself, it held exactly what I need. The laptop compartment was fine. The trolley passed through worked well with my rolling bag. There were adequate pockets, but not so many that you couldn’t remember where you put stuff. I especially like the bright yellow interior lining so you could find the things you put in the one thing I didn’t care for is the large contrast and color zipper poles I think it makes the bag look tacky or something anyway, I can easily replace those with smaller black pools and I think that will improve the look at least in my opinion."

GREAT Little Bag!
"I’m a retired teacher and occasionally sub. I used to carry a big ol’ backpack but I would overload it and it was heavy! I wanted something small, stylish but able to carry what I needed to sub and the Mountain Cross Bag fit the bill. I just love it!"

Works Well for the Purpose
"I was attracted to this product by both the size and the assortment of possible colors. I thought the volume might be a bit small for my needs, but it has been fine. I appreciate the small internal zipper pouch with key clip, just the right size. I was not immediately fond of the multiple zipper setup. There are four double pull zippers across the top, so if all the zipper pulls are located on one side that means 8 individual paracord strands, and all of the same color. It looks like a fringed coat. But I got around it by replacing the paracord on two zippers with something else. Okay, now it’s organized. Looks well made, I like my color choice, and it looks like my old Timbuktu Tu bag is now history."

Teachers Best Friend!
"As a teacher, I’m always looking for a bag that can keep up with my busy school day, and my new TOPO bag has been a great find! It has plenty of room for the things I need without being overly bulky, and the compartments make it easy to keep everything organized. Hyperorganized, can take anything!
"I am someone who usually uses backpacks. While I like the ease of carry of a backpack it’s cumbersome to actually access my quick use items like my ID, keys or notebooks. The mountain bag can take everything my backpack does but is so well organized that I can find what I need super easily. It’s also the only bag with two waterbottle pockets so I can take my waterbottle and my coffee thermos to work. It’s just incredible. Buy it!"

Topo Designs Did It Again
"I’ll admit it—I’m a bag guy, and I probably own more bags than I actually need. But the Mountain Cross Bag has quickly become one of my favorites. What really sold me is the organization. There’s plenty of room for my everyday essentials without the bag feeling oversized or bulky, and the different compartments make it easy to keep everything organized instead of digging around for what I need. The design is classic Topo: rugged, clean, functional, and just different enough to stand out. It works equally well as an everyday carry, work bag, or travel bag, which is exactly what I was looking for. The build quality feels excellent, and it’s one of those bags that looks even better in person. If you’re someone who appreciates a well-designed bag with plenty of organization but doesn’t want to carry a huge backpack or briefcase everywhere, this one hits the sweet spot. Another Topo bag I definitely didn’t need… but I’m very glad I bought."

Great travel bag
"This bag is nicely designed for travel. It holds a lot yet isn't big or bulky. Its multiple compartments and pockets kept me organized going through security and check-in, and its size and set-up made it easy to manage in flight. No wrestling with the pass-through panel, also appreciated. Skinny water bottles fit fine in the side pockets. Straps and handles were also seamlessly functional. Plus, it's cheerful to have some color (grid very peri) for me. I was eyeing other bags and they were all so somber and serious. Not mine!"
