This bag is the pinacle

"Used it for a 7 day trip both as an airport bag and a hiking backpack. All the straps are very comfy. The thing does it all. Surprisingly spacious interior that fits under the seat on an airplane. (Yes, it sticks out a bit, but I've never had anyone complain)! A European budget airline would NOT allow that, but any US carrier will. Only piece that is a little funny is the smallest zipper pockets. Kind of hard to get your hand into. Other than that, it's awesome"

Amazing Travel Backpack

"This is our second one of these we have purchased. My wife and I each have one for when we travel with our two littles. Packs so much in there and spreads the weight well. Definitely recommend!"

Pretty good

"I like many things about this bag, especially the water bottle holders and hip belt. I don't care for the shallow pockets, and I really don't like the clips used for the backpack straps. I just can't imagine what a pain those clips would be after a long and tiring flight. But the bag overall is beautifully constructed otherwise."

Really good, but missing one thing

"I really like this bag, I have both the 30 and the 40. Each is missing one thing the other has. The 40 does not have the luggage pass-through the 30 does, it REALLY needs it. The 30 does not have the zip closure on top of the main compartment and it REALLY needs that. I notice these missing every time I use one or the other and if I didnt have both it wouldnt be so obvious, but they are kinda glaring omissions for me anyway. That said (hope you are listening TOPO) The bag is pretty good at its job. Its shape is great for not wasting space. There is a good amount of organization. Very well made. I dont find the laptop compartments useful for the way I travel, I use the top compartment for my laptop on each. Its a pain to get it out of the back at security and prefer easier access. No bag is perfect for everyone, but this one works well for me despite a couple of smaller flaws for my travel style. The bottom line question for me is. . . would I buy it again? Yes on both sizes."

Good bag

"Haven’t used it yet for travel, but I packed it to test it out and still have room for more."

Adventure Ready

"This bag is not only well designed but well made. Quality product and now I'm ready for any adventures that comes my waaaayyyy!"

I love this bag!

"I love this bag! Its perfect for camping and bearable for hiking. It also fits my 16" MacBook which is amazing! The materials seem very durable and I really like the chunky zipper and the security loops are a great low-tech way to protect your belongings. I only have 3 gripes for this bag: no airflow channels on the back panel so it get a bit sweaty, I wish the laptop pocket had a false bottom and more padding, and the bottle pockets are pretty tight so it is a chore to get my 32oz Hydro Flask to fit."

Plenty of pockets

"It’s a great bag. I thought it was going to be deeper. I’m going to make it work for my plein air painting equipment, but another inch of depth would be nice."

Sheila H. (4/5)

Great bag for everything

"Using this backpack for primarily work, but it is great to have enough space to have everything for after hours as well. Easy to switch from work to hike and not have to unload a ton. Laptop pocket is incredibly useful and easy- I love how it keeps my PC separated but easier to get to. Main pocket is much larger than expected and can fit books, water, and extra clothes with room to spare. The pack is a bit larger than I need but I plan to use it for any upcoming travel."

Perfection

"I have had this bag for YEARS and finally gifted one to my boyfriend for our trip to Iceland this year. Best travel bags, period."
