Almost perfect bag
"First, I will say the color, style, and material of this bag are great. I have actually received a few compliments on it. This feels like a bag that will last for many years and stand up to some abuse. I do love the side laptop compartment; it's very convenient. That being said, one of the things I don't like about this bag is how floppy it is. It doesn't seem to have a lot of padding, and the bag will not sit up straight. It has a tendency to topple over. The shoulder straps could be a little thicker; they aren't terrible, but they feel "off. " Lastly, I wish the bag had another zipper compartment on the front. I knew that when getting the bag, but I didn't think I'd miss it. I pretty much filled the compartment on the lid and find myself wishing for a second one. But I can always attach a pouch later to remedy that. Overall, I'm pleased with the Klettersack."

A little more room!
"Now, I'm a die hard Topo fan girl and have a LOT of Topo bags and pouches. I pretty much love all them. My two favorites are the Rover Classic and the Klettersack. I am a 1 bag minimalist traveler and by in large, my bag of choice is the Rover. BUT, sometimes the Rover just isn't big enough when I have decided to take 35mm camera gear with me. It doesn't happen too often that I do, but when I do I need more than 20L and the Klettersack was absolutely perfect for the use case. There are a million and one travel backpacks on the market, and in my opinion, most are. . . seriously lacking. . . when compared to the Rover and Klettersack and for one reason mostly. The Rover and Klettersack are respectively 4. 5 and 5 inches deep front to back, so they are significantly more shallow than a clamshell pack. This prevents me from feeling off balance, or like I need to lean forward to counter balance my pack. Both of these packs spread weight and balance evenly across my back and never ever feels like they're pulling away from my body, making me feel like I might tip over. I can wear these bags all day long and really, forget I'm wearing a pack at all! Please Topo, never stop making these slim, attractive, top loaders with their magical, MASSIVE, and useful top flap pocket! I recently did a 10 week trip with my new Klettersack as my only bag, with my 35mm camera + lenses, tucked inside and it could not have performed more perfectly. I have no change requests, both the Rover and Klettersack are perfect as they are."

Style and Utility
"Love this pack! Side note: how are all Topo products so stylish? I've mostly been using this while snowboarding, but honestly great for pretty much anything. It's great that it has quite a few pockets for smaller things, computer, water bottle, and then the large sack for layer, gear, etc. I like that I can wear this on the mountain or in town."

Great quality
"Love this bag! I purchased my Klettersack from the Topo Design Store in Boulder more than 10 years ago and it still looks great. The green color still looks vibrant. My favorite things about this bag: 1) The style 2) Durability 3) the shape 4)the oversized zippers 5) the color. The main compartment can fit quite a bit but will still fit under the airplane seat in front of you. I use this bag as a carry-on as well as for hiking. When it gets dirty, I hand wash it in the utility sink and hang it dry. It still looks good as new. For easy access, I use a carabiner to clip my water bottle to the accessory D-Ring on the front of the shoulder straps. This works better for me than using the water bottle pockets."

No Longer Made in the U. S.
"Bought mine many years ago and it's a medium-sized bag that can get some extra room if you cram at the top. Sad to see that these bags are no longer handmade in Colorado as the originals were. It's my impression that the Topo products I have used that were made overseas are inferior to those that were Made in the USA."

Excellent travel pack
"Bought this bag due to the rave reviews of previous model and fact this has laptop back entry. Added some organization bags…this pack is perfect for travel. Durable material and heft zippers unlike most bags made today. Seen issues with water bottle pocket but this thing holds a 32oz zojurushi perfectly. I have laptop, 2 iPads, cords, logi ball mouse, files, notebook, meds, Sonicare toothbrush in case…with plenty of room for more stuff like a jacket. Like the flap pocket. Even with all the stuff in it feels lighter on back than a previous North Face…keeps the weight closer to body. Great pack wish the taco bag advertised was available for purchase for one more internal storage bag."

Great duck camo
"I bought this to use as a diaper bag. I’m not due until June but I can’t wait to use it!"

"Excellent quality with a timeless duck camo pattern. Love that the interior is a nice contrasting color so its easier to find things in the bottom of the bag."

Eh
"Quite costly for what it is. Decided to return the Kluttersack and get something smaller, smarter, more convenient. probably different brand."

LOVE this bag!
"This is my first Topo bag after wanting one for years! I am so happy with it, wish I hadn't waited so long lol. The bag is tough and looks like it will last a very long time. I love all the attachment options and its classic look."
