In The Wild

Telluride Mountainfilm Festival

Some traditions are better than others, and this one just might be the best. Our founders Mark and Jedd have been attending the Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, CO each year, for years and years. THIS YEAR the whole Topo crew headed down to the southwest part of the state for a long weekend of off-roading, hiking to waterfalls, and catching films about mountaineering, culture and the environment.

Telluride is tucked away in a box canyon of the San Juan Mountains, surrounded by steep forested mountains and cliffs - you can pretty much walk in any direction and run into a waterfall. It's an amazing little mountain town, and a magical place for people who like to hike, bike, climb, fish and drink beer at the New Sheridan.

On our way into town, we made a pit stop at a veritable Toyota mecca, where our incredibly passionate friend Alex collects rare and vintage Land Cruisers and FJ's and coverts them to campers with biodiesel engines. We were such happy campers riding around in the mud and rain.
